DUBAI, October 18, 2021 (WAM) – Belarus and the United Arab Emirates have a long-standing excellent bilateral relationship that will help them to further strengthen their cooperation during Expo 2020 Dubai in areas such as trade, investment, tourism and education, said a senior Belarusian official.
In an interview with the UAE News Agency (WAM), Aleksandr Guryanov, First Deputy Foreign Minister of the Republic of Belarus and Commissioner General of the Belarus Section at Expo 2020 Dubai said that the participation of his country at the exhibition will bring the friendship and fruitful relations between the two countries to another level in all fields.
“Our national pavilion will serve as a tool to communicate existing cooperation opportunities between Belarus and the United Arab Emirates,” said Guryanov, referring to a large-scale development project that Emaar Properties, a Dubai-based real estate developer , currently developing in Minsk, the capital of Belarus, as the Northern Waterfront Smart City.
“Belarus has great potential for innovation. That is why we are seeking to attract investment from the UAE and other GCC countries to enable further economic development in our country. We are confident that what we are doing going to show will be a great example for other UAE and international investors to follow, â€he added.
Guryanov greeted 11-year-old model, dancer, pianist, singer, artist and at the same time one of the most famous Belarusian girls in the United Arab Emirates, Mira Singh. The Belarus Pavilion is located in the “Opportunity District†of Expo 2020 Dubai, covering a total area of ​​1,200 square meters.

Besides educational and entertaining purposes, Expo is also an event designed to bring people together to enable them to find ways to face today’s challenges such as conflict, climate change, poverty, etc. ., according to Guryanov.
