Says development of high-level relations between two welcoming countries
Azerbaijani Ambassador to Pakistan Khazar Farhadov visited Punjab Governor Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar and discussed other issues including relations between the two countries and issues in Kashmir and Afghanistan.
According to details, during a meeting between Azerbaijani envoy Khazar Farhadov and Punjab governor Chaudhry Sarwar at the governor’s house in Lahore, the Punjab governor briefed the Azerbaijani ambassador on the steps taken by Pakistan to peace and the eradication of terrorism. He also spoke about the current situation in Kashmir and Afghanistan.
Chaudhry Sarwar said Pakistan and Azerbaijan have a long-standing religious, cultural and historical relationship, a sign of strong ties between the two air forces. Pakistan is determined to promote bilateral cooperation in various fields with Azerbaijan.
He said there are vast opportunities for bilateral cooperation in the fields of trade, commerce and energy between Pakistan and Azerbaijan.
The development of high-level relations between the two countries is encouraging. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan, the government in place stands for peace and we also urge the world to play its part in eliminating the atrocities in Kashmir and Palestine and for establishing peace.
The Punjab governor said a strong and stable Afghanistan is also necessary for peace for which the world must play its part in economic development and provide basic amenities to the people. Khazar envoy Farhadov said that relations between Pakistan and Azerbaijan have always been exemplary and that the two countries support each other in difficult times. Pakistan’s role in bringing about peace and eradicating terrorism is commendable.
